The Somerset VTS aims to provide an education which is enjoyable as well as challenging. Within a relaxed atmosphere, we hope to encourage co-operative learning and exploration of the many levels of general practice.
Regular attendance at meetings is an integral part of participation in this course. Sessions will vary between fairly formal presentations by local experts (consultant colleagues and so on) and less formal small group work. Consultation skills are looked at in depth, sometimes using videos and actors.
Doctors in training will have the opportunity to study many aspects of social and community medicine and their relationship to General Practice. There is an opportunity to exchange views on all aspects of Primary Health Care.
